“The unique hybrid console that Nintendo’s project NX is apparently going to be may sport a rather convincing 720p resolution 6.2” screen as a handheld, as recently reported by the usually accurate with Nintendo leaks journalist Emily Rogers.

All these reports about the Nintendo NX from sources and tipsters are rumors for now and should be treated as such. This is because it might drain the battery faster and cause problems in the system.

With this, Nintendo NX will possibly feature four ARM-based Cortex-A57 cores and two Denver2 cores, and will use Pascal architecture for its graphics processing unit (GPU). That’s the prototype size – the final console screen size may vary slightly. Also, it can be connected to an HD TV to play games on bigger screens. According to the report, they have the same functionality as the Wii Remote and are set to replace the latter over time.

Now, a new report has offered some details about said controllers.

It is worth mentioning that the struggles of the Nintendo Wii U could be blamed for the company’s failure to differentiate the device from its previous version, the Nintendo Wii. That’s remarkable because it suggests that while Nintendo’s fans don’t know what the NX is, neither does Nintendo. The number of ports may be more or remain the same in the final product. This news was revealed by the creator of the game series, Yuji Horii while in a round table discussion with Nintendo Dream for its October issue. As for the system’s launch library, it is rumored to come with Mario and Pokémon games.
