Nintendo will be hosting its E3 2016 presentation on Tuesday, June 14 this year.
Starting from later today, a select range of download-exclusive titles on the 3DS and Wii U will be available at up to 50% off in Australia and New Zealand.
The Nintendo of Japan website is also advertising an E3 2016 Pokemon Special, starting at 7am PT on June 16, but this particular event was not detailed in Nintendo’s most recent press release.
Limited Edition consoles to accompany major first-party releases are nothing new at Nintendo, and this trend will certainly continue at E3.
Nintendo already shared details of its promotions taking place before and during this year’s E3. If these receive 10,000 retweets combined, every Miitomo user who logs in between June 15 and July 14, 2016 gets a Link’s New Hair wig. Nintendo’s entire E3 festivity revolves around handing out in-app gifts to Miitomo users, a digital sale and holding a webcast to showcase the world premiere gameplay of The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, and other software lineup coming to both Wii U and 3DS. Nintendo plans to host an in-depth developer Q&A session for the latter, giving fans a better look at the upcoming free-to-play title.
Are you a Zelda fan? It confirmed during its fiscal year earnings call that Nintendo NX will not be present at this year’s E3.
