Nintendo’s New Gaming Console Will Launch In March 2017
The company says that the delay will give its developers “more time to polish the game”. Wednesday, during its earning call, Nintendo announced the Nintendo NX release date as March 2017.

There were also reports that Nintendo will also not focus on the new system at this year’s E3 video games convention in Los Angeles, instead showcasing a new Legend of Zelda game.
The latest entry in the “Legend of Zelda” series is getting pushed out of its 2016 release window into early 2017, though no specific month has been given. Nintendo also revealed one of the first games appearing on the home video game console: The Legend of Zelda. Interestingly, Nintendo announced that a version of the game will launch simultaneously on Nintendo’s new console, the NX.
Nintendo president and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima reiterated in December a year ago that the company is “not building the next version of Wii or Wii U” and that the device will be something “unique and different”.
Nintendo of America’s twitter account released new art for the highly anticipated game.
All is not lost because if you are planning on attending E3 2016 in the middle of the year, Nintendo has confirmed that there will be a playable demo of the game.
A Spring 2017 release date makes the rumors that Nintendo would stop manufacturing its Wii U console this year a lot more plausible, although the company has officially denied that claim. This means no other games will be demoed from Nintendo at E3 – not even upcoming titles for Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo confirmed the news in its quarterly financial statement, telling shareholders that the NX console will feature a “brand-new concept”.
