Nintendo shares surge on Pokemon mobile game hopes
Pokemon GO was launched in the United States last week and shot to the No. 1 free app in Apple Inc’s US iTunes store. “This metric.has put Pokemon Go neck and neck with Twitter, and in a few more days, Pokemon Go will likely have more users”. Fortunately there’s a way to distinguish between the real and malicious app – just check the granted permissions of the game.
Pokemon GO was released on Wednesday, July 6th – and is a “real world adventure game” for iPhone and Android devices.
As a player walks down the street they’ll see checkpoints where they can earn prizes and also catch little creatures called Pokemon. They then go to public places and play the game. “I had to take a second look and I realized it was a body”.
It was installed on 5.16 per cent of all Android devices in the USA, and Nintendo stocks today rose more than 20 per cent after the game’s success, just two days after the app’s release.
In plain words, while Nintendo gets a third share from Pokemon Go’s success; DeNA gets nothing.
Pokemon GO originally launched last week in the USA and Australia and is already off to massive success.
