This home console and handheld hybrid system looks fantastic so far and what may be even more impressive is the number of developments jumping on board.

It is the first games console to fully bridge the divide between home consoles such as the PlayStation and Xbox, and portable devices like Nintendo’s 3DS.
The Switch also supports external game pads, which presumably connect to the device via Bluetooth. The portable part comes with its own screen and two detachable controllers, allowing two people to play.
This allows you to use each as smaller remote controls of their own on the go through a built in kickstand or even a vehicle mount. It’s unclear if the controller will be an add-on accessory you’ll have to purchase separately or an item included with the system. “The portability of Nintendo Switch is enhanced by its bright high-definition display”. In short, players will be able to play video games at home with the Switch hooked up to the television or remove the central console and play on the go.
As it turns out, the reports were accurate, and the NX will now officially be known as the Nintendo Switch.
For games, the Switch uses cartridges that look more or less like the same ones you pop into the DS.
As has been the case in recent years, Nintendo’s latest hardware isn’t just a case of bumping up the graphics – they’re trying something totally new and innovative, and it looks fantastic.
Nintendo said it provide full game demonstrations, a list of launch titles, as well as launch date, price, product configuration and other specifics before the March launch.
You’ve seen the reveal trailer, you’ve been briefed on the publishers and developers supporting the console, and you’ve been given a glimpse of games coming to the new system. Nothing on pricing yet, but it will be released in March of 2017.

Nintendo will give the world a first look at its new console later when a “preview trailer” is posted to announce its much-rumoured NX console.
