March 3rd is when the system launches, and it’ll cost you $299 in the U.S., and come with the system, dock, two Joy-Con controllers, dock, Joy-Con Grip, AC adapter, HDMI cable, and wrist straps. On top of that, the hype machine will be in full force for a spate of AAA games that are unlikely to come to the Switch, and Nintendo’s marketing dollars simply can’t compete with the combined weight of the rest of the video game industry.

That could prove to be big headache for those looking to start playing the Nintendo Switch on release in March.
The strangest of these is New Donk City, which looks to be a quasi-realistic Mario take on NY, complete with yellow taxis and the first almost-normal-looking humans we’ve ever seen in a Mario game.
Switch can be used as a handheld console and with a TV when docked.
The Switch’s post-launch lineup includes “Arms“, a sort of cartoonish take on boxing; players can actually throw punches with the controllers. They can easily click back into place or be slipped into a Joy-Con grip accessory, mirroring a more traditional controller.
The Nintendo Switch presentation may be over, but those still wanting more are in luck.
Those details are going to be revealed during the January 12th press conference that Nintendo has set up with the Switch as the main focus.
As portable, it has between 2.5 to 6 hours of battery life.
Nintendo’s luck hasn’t been great recently with its last console, the Wii U, failing to achieve significant sales success, especially compared to the Wii before it. Also announced were Skyrim: Special Edition, a Fire Emblem/Dynasty Warriors crossover, a new Shin Megami Tensei game from Atlus, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

“The Legend of Zelda” is the first title to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch with “Splatoon 2” and “Super Mario Odyssey” to be released later in 2017. After the surprisingly cold financial reception to Super Mario Run, Nintendo is probably incentivized to announce what’s coming next. All kinds of stuff that tickles that “fun” response center like nothing else out their in video games right now. It has 32 GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C connector, and supports up to eight Nintendo Switch players (squaring off with discrete systems) in proximity to each other.
