Nintendo to release Super Mario runner game for iOS this December

Super Mario Run will be a paid game, and it’ll launch Holiday 2016 exclusively on Apple’s iOS. Each level will be timed, and users will need to help Mario reach the flag pole at the end of the stage before running out of time.

The App Store listing also states the game will offer in-app purchase, though it sounds like they will be totally optional. Super Mario Run is expected to land first on iOS later this year. Players will collect Coins and heads for the Flagpole in Super Mario Run’s main “endless runner” mode. He said that the new game would arrive on iOS first and added that anyone could pick it up and instantly start playing. It was clear that Miyamoto and Nintendo plan to bring the game to more devices.

Miyamoto said: “You can even play it one handed, while you’re holding onto the handle on the subway, while eating a hamburger, or even an Apple”. One great new features that will be available is a new Battle Mode called “Toad Rally”, in which players will able to compete against and best other another player’s high score.
