The mini NES console and its NES Classic Controller will be available to purchase in stores on November 11 for $59.99 and $9.99, respectively.

The Nintendo company on Thursday announced it would be releasing a miniature version of its groundbreaking Nintendo Entertainment System, which will come with 30 built-in games, including the Super Mario Bros. trilogy. It is still unclear whether Nintendo will be adding any new games to the console.

One important caveat: this looks like a USA launch only at this point, but we haven’t confirmed that just yet.

It goes without saying that we believe Nintendo will have a hot seller on its hands with the Mini NES.

Each console comes with one controller, but the console can handle up to two players which means an extra controller will need to be purchased if you want to play one of the several two-player games. The new controller will also connect to a Wii Remote, so that you can use it to play Virtual Console games on a Wii or Wii U.

This year is certainly looking like a time of positive change for Nintendo after years of resting on its laurels. 2, and Super Mario Bros.

The Japanese video game company said that the mini NES is a “standalone device” which means that it can not connect to the Internet or support any external storage device such as a USB flash stick or a microSD card. The Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro can be used with the console as well.

The classic edition is a “mini replica” of the original 1985 NES, which now comes with few modern features and conveniences like an HDMI cable, adapter and a controller that imitates the original NE. The games have been updated to include multiple suspend points, allowing you to take a break while completing a level and still be able to return to it later. 3, Tecmo Bowl, The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

Classic controllers will be sold separately for $9.99 each.
