The 2016 Altima offers a wide-ranging list of enhancements, including a refreshed exterior following the new Nissan “Energetic Flow” design language introduced on the all-new 2015 Murano and 2016 Maxima. Next in the lineup comes the Altima 2.5 SR, from 24,470 Dollars, adding the 18-inch aluminum wheels, rear spoiler, tinted headlights, fog lights, unique interior trim and 8-way power driver’s seat.
The new Altima will feature several improvements. Then, to enhance the feel of the engine, Nissan included the Xtronic transmission’s D-step logic, which simulates automatic transmission shift points (since the Xtronic is a continuously variable transmission, which otherwise wouldn’t have any shift points). Inside is a new center stack and cupholder design, available 5- and 7-inch multimedia screens, Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats and soft-touch finishes on door panels. Upgraded tech features include Apple’s Siri Eyes Free and NissanConnectSM with Mobile Apps, standard on all models above the base 2.5 trim. The uplevel 2016 Altima 3.5 SR starts at $28,215, including shipping.
The 2.5-liter models feature a 182-horsepower 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine.
