Nissan shows off self-parking chairs
But while you wait for self-driving cars, you should know Nissan has created an Intelligent Parking Chair concept that parks itself at your desk upon hearing your hands clap.

While vehicle parking with a single hand clap is yet to become a reality, the type of new technology that moves these chairs is the same as that now used in the X-Trail Hybrid and other Nissan vehicles. You need to have four special sensor-laden cameras in a room to help the chairs get around, though.
Auto giant Nissan has adapted its self driving vehicle technology – for office chairs. The chair includes a roller to automatically move 360 degrees paired with a system that indicates the target position.
“By day, these chairs are inanimate objects”, Nissan boasted in a press release. “By night, they park!”
The video demonstrates that the chairs are controlled via Wi-Fi and tracked by motion cameras.
So for now, office employees will have to manually push their chairs back under their desk.
“This is a very useful function, not only for those who are bad at parking, but also for skillful drivers who are exhausted and less focused after a long drive”, says one of the developers in the promotional video.

This office technology makes it possible for innovative business to be freed from the trouble of arranging chairs each time they require a particular seating arrangement for a meeting or conference.
