Nissan X-Trail facelift, Hybrid revealed in the US
To help propel that forward momentum, at the 2016 Miami auto show Nissan is additionally unveiling a new hybrid option, a first for the Rogue lineup.

While the stock Rogue stands by its 170-horsepower, 2.5-liter inline-4, the Rogue Hybrid reaches deeper into Nissan’s more advanced, battery-enabled parts bin. Nissan says the hybrid model will be available by the end of the year.
The gasoline-powered 2017 Nissan Rogue, which should be at dealers by the end of October, comes in three trim levels: S, SV, and SL, each offered in front- or all-wheel-drive form.
Pricing on the 2017 Rogue has yet to be announced, but don’t expect a huge bump from the $24,230 starting price for the front-wheel-drive 2016 Nissan Rogue S. Expect a premium of a few thousand bucks for the Rogue Hybrid.
“There are so many enhancements to Rogue for 2017, with every one of them created to enhance its appeal with the fastest growing segment of buyers in the industry”, says Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America. Rogue offers optional 3-row/7-passenger seating, along with exceptional passenger and cargo flexibility with its innovative EZ Flex Seating System and Divide-N-Hide Cargo System.
Interior updates for ’17 Rogues include a new D-shaped steering wheel, an available heated steering wheel, new seat fabric, new shift knob and a revised center console and console lid.
The front bucket seats are also still Zero Gravity in nature, and as the driver’s seat is still six-way adjustable, the available Quick Comfort heated front seats on SV and SL models are what have our attention: They supposedly begin warming body parts most sensitive to heat.
Changes to the exterior include a new front fascia with Nissan’s V-motion grille, flanked by new quad-element headlamps with LED daytime running lights.
Also, using language from its Titan pickup which has a Platinum Reserve grade, a new Platinum Reserve package is available for Rogue SLs.
Fuel economy is estimated at 33 mpg city, 35 highway, 34 combined for front-drive crossovers, and 31/34/33 mpg for all-wheel-drive versions. In the back, Nissan restyled the bumper, added new tail-lamps, chrome trim and finished it off with a set of aggressive 19-inch aluminum wheels available on SL models.
Since debuting its second generation in 2014, the Rogue has been one of the best-selling models in perhaps the hottest segment of the USA auto market, a trend that seems likely to continue with the restyled 2017 model that broke cover Friday night at the opening of the 2016 Miami International Auto Show.

It’s hard to believe, but the Rogue is already one of Nissan’s oldest models. Intelligent cruise control, lane keeping assistance and pedestrian detection are all new, while returning features, such as the blind spot warnings will become more widely available.
