“It’s a tragedy and our heartfelt condolences to the family and the whole Warren Hills community”, NJSIAA spokesman Michael Cherenson said on behalf of the statewide athletics association in reaction to Murray’s passing.
“He tried giving a thumbs-up to the rest of the team, and all of us cheered”, said Kaitlin Bell, 16, a junior varsity cheerleader at Warren Hills High School. Bowen says the school will offer grief counseling at the school after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Murray, a star athlete, had started at his position…
Dubiel called him “a fine kid” and other tributes are pouring in from those who knew him.
An online fundraiser was created Saturday morning in support of Murray’s family.
