NJ papers: Christie should quit over Trump nod
The internet illuminati decided Tuesday night to photoshop a despondent Christie at Donald Trump’s Super Tuesday victory speech next to the popular meme of a 2014 photograph of the vice president featuring morose existential captions.

It’s been a rough couple of days for the New Jersey governor. After taking seven of the 11 contested states, Trump took the stage at his Mar-A-Lago club in Palm Springs, Florida, to deliver his victory speech.
The New Jersey papers are not the first news outlets to condemn Christie after he announced his support of Trump. But Stephanopoulos made it look practically like he and Trump don’t agree on any issue. Christie’s endorsement on Friday fell right in the middle of that period. Trump, meanwhile, was equally dominant, scoring big wins in half a dozen states and cementing his position ahead of other Republican contenders.
He went on to list Donald Trump’s favorite Donald Trump qualities: “He has shown himself to be tough and strong and bold”. But in the interview, he referred to him exclusively as “Mr. Trump”, as if he were a flunky in The Trump Organization. But as Trump began speaking, people couldn’t stop talking about the look on Christie’s face.
During the majority of Christie’s tenure as governor, Republican lawmakers’ discontent with their party leader was usually shared only behind closed doors.
And yet, Governor Christie’s Super Tuesday appearance was just one more hit to his reputation after the many that he has faced since leaving the presidential race last month.
“And we’re fed up with his continuing travel out of state on New Jersey’s dime, stumping for Trump”.
We’re fed up with his hypocrisy.
Initially, Donald Trump’s candidacy was viewed as little more than a passing fad by the establishment.
After Christie repeatedly told reporters he wouldn’t answer any questions that were “off topic”, one of the reporters asked why: “Because I don’t want to”, he said.
What was Christie thinking while Trump spoke?
Clearly, something bad had been done to Christie to make him this way, to hurt him so, to change him from the man he once was. Almost, but not quite.

Christie appears to have sold his soul for political gain, and Trump, eager to highlight that he has the endorsement of centrist Republicans, has been parading his new pal before the press. He chose to be dominated by Trump.
