For now, the interim head coaching duties will be performed by offensive coordinator Mike Locksley. There, Locksley will come down from his normal perch in the coaches’ booth and be on the sideline as a head coach for the first time since September 24, 2011.
Hills completed three straight passes to start the second half, which totaled 23 yards, and the Terrapins got an extra 15 yards on a roughing-the-passer penalty against Ohio State All-American defensive end Joey Bosa.
Many people thought this would finally be the game where Ohio State dominated from beginning to end but it didn’t turn out that way. Ohio State vs Maryland TV Channel Schedule is on BTN.
The Maryland Terrapins have reportedly fired head coach Randy Edsall after losing to Ohio State on Saturday.
The university expects its football team to be successful and now in his fifth season, Edsall has never posted a record better than 7-6.
“I’m exhausted from it”, he said.
Junior running back Ezekiel Elliott is back in his big-game form and looks for his 11th consecutive 100-yard outing when top-ranked Ohio State squares off against visiting Maryland in Saturday’s Big Ten contest.
For much of the game, the Terrapins were hanging around with Buckeyes which has been a familiar theme for Ohio State all season long.
The attention to this thing, Meyer said, exhaling deeply, of the incessant quarterbacking questions.
Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett takes a snap against Maryland…
“It was a little old school”, Meyer said. “It’s a unique situation”. He finished 21 of 28 for 291 yards – not bad for a part-timer. “It was all for the benefit of the team”. Urban Meyer said during the week that he was considering using J.T. Barrett in the red zone in favor of Cardale Jones, and while he didn’t entirely commit to that sentiment during the week, we saw it, and it worked pretty well.
That’s one reason the Buckeyes have only six TDs in 16 trips inside the 20. Illinois? Virginia? Tennessee? Maybe, but I’d say Maryland is a better fit that all three. “They both played well”.
Kevin Hogan threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns to help the Cardinal (4-1, 3-0 Pac-12) win.
Hills called his own number on first-and-goal from Ohio State’s three-yard line and cut the Buckeyes’ lead over the Terrapins to 21-14 with just 43 seconds left to play in the first half. “I missed too many things and I’m going to go back and watch the film and get them corrected”.
The coach went bananas on a reporter for asking if he usually shakes hands with his players before a game. The Tesudo Times reported that the applause came from a smattering of Maryland boosters.

After needing a last-second defensive stop to survive a scare in their conference opener at Indiana last week, the Buckeyes figured to get themselves straightened out against the Terrapins, who were coming off a shutout at home against Michigan and were having to address Edsall’s status. More than one Buckeye was always near the ball, and good, secure tackles were made every play.
