No. 5 LSU falls to unranked Wisconsin
The Badgers forced another punt on their next defensive possession, the fifth of the day, but Wisconsin quarterback Bart Houston (looking extreeeemly Bart Houston, with his t-shirt sleeves descending below his jersey sleeves) did the one thing he absolutely, positively could not do: a forced interception on 3rd-and-long from deep in his own territory. Dural caught five passes for 50 yards.

A pair of field goals by Rafael Gaglianone put the Badgers in front heading into the locker room at halftime.
Running back Corey Clement had 86 yards rushing and the Badgers’ only touchdown of the game, to give them a 13-0 lead early in the 3rd quarter.
LSU linebacker Duke Riley called the coin toss accurately and the Tigers deferred the decision until the second half. A number of other Wisconsin players were raised in the area, and the Badgers’ Twitter account has been featuring these men leading up to their opening game at Lambeau. However, Harris threw his second interception of the game, essentially sealing the upset for Wisconsin.
LSU: The offense sputtered and quarterback Brendan Harris struggled, going 12 of 21 for 131 yards with two interceptions and a score. But that’s exactly the case on Saturday when LSU takes on Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Wisconsin had jumped out to a 13-0 lead but LSU nearly took the game back.
During that 10-year span, LSU won 103 games (with two national championship appearances) while Wisconsin won 98 games. If they did, they’d pick up a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Even with offensive line’s inconsistency, Fournette gained 138 yards on 23 carries, boosting his career total to 3,125 – the fourth most in program history. In 2015, Harris completed 149 of 277 passes for 53.7% completion rating and 13 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Flagrant personal foul on this hit.
Instead, LSU got what it deserved, and the speculation can begin on if Miles will survive the season.
“Give Ryan Connelly extreme credit for being prepared to be able to fill into a big-time role like that and go out and execute”, senior outside linebacker Vince Biegel said.
WIS-Gaglianone 47 yard field goal, 3:47.
Additionally, Aranda’s 3-4 scheme is exactly what Wisconsin faced in practice for the past few seasons, so the Badgers may have an advantage in experience with his style, making the game continuously interesting. On Saturday, Fournette became the fastest Tiger to ever reach 3,000, or more, career yards, which he did in 26 games. Les Miles elected to go for it on his side of the field, but LSU turned the ball over on downs when Fournette was stopped short of the marker. Trainers worked on his ribs before the second-half kickoff and he returned to the game.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Trevor Knight threw for 239 yards and a touchdown and ran for two more scores, including one in overtime, to lead Texas A&M past UCLA in his debut with the Aggies.
Wisconsin led 13-0 with 10:55 remaining in the third quarter. This was a huge upset, as the Badgers were kind of expected to take a step back in 2016 while LSU, many believed, was one of the teams in the best position to make it to the College Football Playoff.

Harris, again under heat, fumbled to squash a critical third-quarter drive inside the Wisconsin 30-yard line. “We made a big-time stop in a big-time game against a big-time team”. But those expectations have now been blow through the roof after they took down the Tigers 16-14 at the Lambeau Field College Classic.
