No. 9 LSU stumbles again, upset by Arkansas, 31-14
After finding themselves down 21-0 in the second quarter, the No. 9 LSU Tigers attempted to claw their way back into the contest, but couldn’t match Arkansas’s intensity as the the Tigers fell to the Razorbacks 31-14, Saturday night in Baton Rouge.

LSU sophomore RB Leonard Fournette rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in Saturday’s 31-14 loss to Arkansas.
Brandon Allen passed for 141 yards, including a 52-yard TD throw to Dominique Reed. But since losing three straight to Toledo, Texas Tech and Texas A&M, they have won five of their last six (and now four straight), losing only to Alabama on the road since October began.
The Hogs looked for their first win in Tiger Stadium since 2007. It appears Leonard Fournette might possibly be a mortal man. After rushing for at least 150 yards in each of his first seven games, Fournette’s now been held under 100 yards in two consecutive contests. It was another subpar showing from a unit that, during the Tigers’ 7-0 start, had been labeled as one-dimensional.
The Tigers scored once in the first half, trailing the Hogs 21-7 at halftime. Somehow, with winnable home games against Mississippi State and Missouri left, there is a chance the Razorbacks will finish second in the SEC West.
Alabama’s nine sacks were the most for the program since 1998 against Vanderbilt. Harris finished with 271 yards through the air, completing 21 of 35 passes with a touchdown and an interception. Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema clearly sent a message to the junior running back about ball security as he would sit out the next three plays even though one was a 3rd-and-2. Alex Collins had 141, Kody Walker 88, and Jared Cornelius had 71 (on just two carries). We have to be better, and that’s me. Among the top prospects on the field, along with Fournette and Collins, were LSU defensive back Jalen Mills, LSU offensive lineman Vadal Alexander, and Arkansas tight end Hunter Henry.
You have to give credit where credit is due.
Now comes the hard part for Ohio State – games against No. 14 MI State and No. 15 MI.
LONG RUN: Josh Adams’ 98-yard touchdown run against Wake Forest was the longest play from scrimmage in Notre Dame history and tied for the longest rush by a freshman in NCAA history. Prosise sidelined while recovering from a concussion.
Time may not have yet healed Ole Miss football, but the realization has set in that two regular season games and a bowl game remain on the schedule.
John Wolford scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter for Wake Forest (3-7), but the Demon Deacons squandered three other red-zone opportunities. The Hogs were coming off a incredible overtime win over the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, MS where they converted a 4th-and-25 on a insane lateral that would continue a drive that eventually lead to a touchdown and a game winning two point conversion by quarterback Brandon Allen. He hauled in the touchdown pass from Harris late in the first half.
