No change yet at quarterback for Denver Broncos
The score came three plays after Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier intercepted Brock Osweiler at the Broncos’ 37-yard line.

In simplest forms, the Jets – in order to earn wild card entry – have to beat the Patriots & the Bills AND have Kansas City OR Pittsburgh lose one/tie one OR have the Broncos lose one contest.
Unfortunately, for the Steelers Roethlisberger was a bit too generous with the football, throwing an interception with just over two minutes remaining and a seven point lead on a 2 and 10 to Brandon Marshall, a disgusting pass intended for DeAngelo Williams.
Pittsburgh ran out the clock.
“We still don’t know what happened to my shoulder”, Osweiler said.
“That’s on us, on the defense. “We”re on our way to becoming one of those type of teams if we can keep it up.”. That’s a great teaching lesson for us, and we’ll just try to learn from this. The Denver defender hadn’t allowed a touchdown since 2013.
Brown has the most receiving yards (1,586) by any Pittsburgh player through 14 games since 1960.
“There’s no stopping me”, Brown said.
Brown, Markus Wheaton and Martavis Bryant found plenty of room to maneuver against Denver’s secondary after making some adjustments during the half. If the Bengals also lose out, the Steelers are the AFC North champion.
Osweiler’s favorite target on Sunday was former Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. “Kudos to those boys”. “Guys were getting open, and that’s what usually teams do if you can’t get there with five or four”.
Brock Osweiler threw for 296 yards with three touchdowns passing and another on the ground but struggled in the second half as the Broncos (10-4) lost their second straight and failed to lock up the AFC West title. In the first half, Osweiler and the Denver offense was flawless on third down.
Ramon Foster: The Steelers offensive lineman played in his 100 National Football League game against the Broncos on Sunday. “We all knew we played like crap in the first half, and I think we really just had to wake up”. He had zero such games in four seasons with Pittsburgh. Sanders caught a 61-yard touchdown and even added 24 yards on a jet sweep. Osweiler hit him for a 69-yard touchdown and a 14-7 Denver lead. So is the play of their quarterback after the Broncos let a second-half lead slip away for a second straight week in s 34-27 loss Sunday.
The Steelers struck within a touchdown of the Broncos when Roethlisberger threw a ideal pass to Antonio Brown along the right sideline of the end zone for a 9-yard touchdown with 7:16 left in the quarter. Roethlisberger was content to connect primarily on short passes over the middle rather than try to challenge cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Chris Harris on deep routes.
The Steelers can clinch a playoff berth with wins in each of their final two games. Not only is he the first quarterback to throw for 300 yards against the Broncos since December 7, 2014, but he also set a new career long and Steelers franchise record for consecutive home games with 300 yards passing with four.
A report Sunday from NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport indicated that Manning wants his job back and will be very upset with the team if he has to serve as an active backup to Osweiler, a report which was refuted immediately by Broncos owner John Elway.
The Broncos play host to Cincinnati on Monday and San Diego in their final regular season game.

NOTES: Broncos FS Darian Stewart (hamstring) sat out after being listed as questionable Friday with a hamstring injury and replaced in the starting lineup by S Josh Bush. Stewart played in each of the first 13 games this season and had 52 tackles (40 solos), nine passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one interception.
