Prime Minister Narendra Modi has three priorities for Jammu and Kashmir, said Jaitley, Minister of Finance. If a police post manned by 10 police personal is attacked by 2000 stone pelters, it is an attack, but some people with limited vision do not realise it.
Addressing a public meeting in Samba district in memory of Premnath Dogra, the founder of the Jan Sangh, the forerunner of the BJP, in Jammu and Kashmir, Jaitley said people defending rioting and stone pelting in the Kashmir Valley have nothing on their mind except petty politics. Describing the situation in the state as “serious” he said Pakistan, terrorists and religious forces all had a hand.
Addressing the rally, the chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League Farooq Rahmani called upon the worldwide community, the European Union, and OIC to persuade India to stop massive human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
Earlier, the Congress expressed concern over the current state in the Valley saying that the situation is sliding into “total chaos” and called for a solution by the opposition. Referring to the stone-pelters attacking security personnel in the valley, Jaitley said, “they are not satyagrahis but aggressors”.
Union Minister Arun Jaitley asked the people of Jammu & Kashmir to stand with the country in the struggle against the separatists so that this new phase of Pakistani strategy of war is defeated this time as well.
“India has witnessed agitations in many parts, but the pellets and bullets were never used against civilians anywhere in India”. He appealed to the people of the state to come together and fight against such forces.
Blaming both Pakistan and separatists for triggering unrest in Kashmir valley, Jaitley maintained that Pakistan has been regularly pushing its negative agenda in J&K.
The two wars of 1965 and 1971 made India as a strong military power in conventional warfare.
