‘No development since Independence due to rule by one family’: Amit Shah
Urging the young generation to be informed about the freedom struggle and the supreme sacrifices of the freedom fighters, Shah said Uttar Pradesh has given a patriotic government at the Centre by its blessings, and that the BJP was yet again looking to them to form a “doer” government in the state.

Commenting on the situation of the state the BJP chief asked that “if SP or BSP come to power.can UP develop?”
Shah garlanded statues of freedom fighters in UP’s Kakori, as part of a BJP event, “Azadi 70 – Yaad Karo Kurbani”.
Claiming that it was not the occasion to speak politics, BJP chief Amit Shah said Samajwadi Party has only developed a caste and Bahujan Samaj Party chief has only developed herself.
“It has been 70 years since we gained Independence”.
He slammed the Congress for the backwardness in many parts of the state even after 70 years of independence as the party was at the helm for nearly 60 years. However, he said, BJP believes in “sab ka saath, sabka vikas”.
His first stop – the “temple”, or memorial built at Kakori to honour the revolutionaries who robbed train carrying money for the British treasury in 1925.
“Tiranga Yatra will be carried out in two phases”.
The “Tiranga Yatra” is a part of the Independence Day celebrations, the plans for which were discussed during a BJP meeting held with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu.
