While attending the Venice Film Festival to promote gangster drama Black Mass and mystery A Bigger Splash, Johnson discussed a steamier role with Empire – Anastasia Steele of Fifty Shades of Grey fame.
“I guess they either love me or they’re running for the hills”, the brunette beauty joked. When asked by DeGeneres if people are more attracted, or more afraid of her after the fact, Johnson said if given those two options, she’d have to choose the latter.

She went on to recall an interesting encounter with a cab driver – judging by the accent she put on, it took place in New York – who told her he’d watched her film with his wife. We really liked it, .
