“This decision is based upon the request of the victim that no charges be filed, and inconsistent and contradictory statements provided”, Moore said in a statement to reporters on Friday.

Moore, who has yet to formally charge the trio – Jennings, defensive lineman Maquedius Bain and defensive back Dwayne Thomas – stated that, if the case didn’t involve football players, it would likely be over and done with.
The three players were accused of barging their way into an apartment on campus and taking back items that they claimed were stolen from Jennings, including a laptop.
Jennings, the most high-profile of the three suspended, started 12 games at quarterback last year and was suspended indefinitely after he and Bain and Thomas were arrested for unauthorized entry of a dwelling and simple burglary.
All three are free on bond.
Miles said the three players will report to training camp on Wednesday and will practice with the team and indicated they will undergo further in-house discipline.
More information about the status of the trio with the football team was expected to be released later Friday. “Although their actions could have subjected them to such”, Moore said.
“If this was a regular case, if it just involved a regular LSU student, you wouldn’t have known it happened”, Moore said to the New Orleans Times-Picayune earlier this week.
Regardless, the recent developments in the case show that the suspended LSU football players will be rejoining the team sooner rather than later.
