No ill feelings towards media – Duterte
“I do not have any master except the Filipino people, nobody but nobody. Wala akong galit sa inyo”, he said.

The President then mentioned the crucial role of media.
WHITE. President Rodrigo Duterte came to the State Palace in a simple white long-sleeved polo with a Phlippine logo embroidered on its pocket.
It was the presidents’ first encounter since Barack Obama canceled their last scheduled meeting two days earlier, following a verbal outburst in which Duterte called the United States leader a “son of a b*tch/whore” during a discussion on the Philippines’ attitude towards human rights amid a crackdown on drug crime.
Speaking to the Filipino community in Indonesia, Duterte said that he introduced himself to Obama saying, “President Obama, I’m President Duterte”.
“It’s son of a bitch or son of a gun”.
Philippines’ President Rodrigo Duterte, center, walks with his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo during their visit at Tanah Abang Market on the sidelines of their meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia, Friday, Sept. 9, 2016. “I was talking all along in the dialect”.
The two presidents also conducted a so-called veranda talk, which is a new tradition started by the State Palace to welcome Jokowi’s closest guests, as it is meant to represent a more intimate relationship between the two countries. It is just a mere shortfall of talent.
“I didn’t say Pu******mo Obama”.
He also added that it is not his problem if “the other side”, the worldwide media, has interpreted his statement in a wrong way stressing that he is only answerable to the Filipino people. If the other side interpreted it in the way he wanted it to be, That’s their problem.
Mr. Duterte notably avoided commenting publicly on the case of Mary Jane Veloso, a Filipino national who is now on death row in Indonesia for drug trafficking. I said I don’t give a shit.
During his speech, Duterte also clarified the faux pas involving an expletive he uttered earlier on Monday, during a press conference in Davao.
He added, “We will observe, and must insist, I repeat, I must insist, on the time honoured principles of sovereign equality, non- interference and the commitment to a peaceful settlement of disputes to best serve our people and protect the interests of our country”. Well, of course, for the low lifes in the press, some of the columnists, nothing is really too-good-to-be-true.
