No legal status for undocumented immigrants
“Donald Trump reinforced today that he would deport 16 million people, including every undocumented immigrant and American citizens born here to undocumented parents”, Hillary for America Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri said in a statement.

Haynie says while Mr. Trump tries to win over more voters, he believes he will need to change the way he addresses the electorate. “He may try to disguise his plans by throwing in words like “humane” or “fair” but the reality remains that Trump’s agenda echoes the extreme right’s will – one that is fueling a risky movement of hatred across the country”, she said.
“No citizenship”, he told Fox News’ Sean Hannity during a taped town hall event.
Some of them are watching with mild amusement as Trump adopts their talking points, if not their policies, ahead of election as he attempts to gloss over his past vilification of undocumented immigrants. “When they come back in, then they can start paying taxes, but there is no path to legalization unless they leave the country and then come back”. He added: “I don’t think you’re gonna round up and deport 12 million people”.
“Parts of the message we heard in the last week are clearly not consistent with the stringent position and message that supporters have received all along”, Palin said, according to the Wall Street Journal.
“If you look historically, Republicans have made efforts and have been somewhat successful in increasing the amount of support they get from black and Latino voters”, said Haynie.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump today ruled out a pathway to legal status for illegal immigrants and said if elected to the White House he would authorise law enforcement agencies for deportation of those illegal immigrants who have committed crime.
It’s true that Trump’s immigration stance appears to be hardening back into its original form. Lots of people were brought out of the country with the existing laws.
Meanwhile, Democrats are in rare agreement with many Trump defenders in saying that the candidate has not actually flip-flopped.
He ridiculed Jeb Bush during the primary campaign for his stance on immigration, but he’s now trying to adopt Bush’s (low-energy?) tone, all while sticking closely to the same policies that his anti-immigrant base will applaud.
Trump said Thursday he will lay out an “exact plan” on immigration in an upcoming speech.
He put heavy emphasis on building “a wall that absolutely works”. But he backed away from the sweeping approach by the time of his presidential campaign and repeatedly insisted that he did not support “amnesty”.
Now, Trump risks having the same problem in the final stretch before the general election. The Democratic nominee, who has been working to paint her opponent as fear-mongering and racist, also said that Trump’s “disregard for the values that make our country great is profoundly risky”.

“So what’s Trump going to call his amnesty plan: The Gang of One proposal?” tweeted Mark Krikorian, a staunch opponent of illegal immigration. In recent days, he’s suggested he might be open to allowing them to stay. After Bush claimed that illegal immigration could be described as “an act of love”, an Instagram video Trump posted showed the words, “Forget Love!”
