No Man’s Sky day-one patch tweaks pretty much everything

If you go into the game expecting mind-blowing stuff right away then you will surely end up disappointed.

Years of development and planning marked Tuesday, August 9 quite a momentous occasion for Hello Games as they have finally released No Man’s Sky. He pointed out that if the player is stuck somewhere, they can use their jet pack forever as long as they are pushing against a surface.

The new patch has one catch though, it will not be applied to existing save files, according to the “No Man’s Sky” official website.

He explained that the team also wanted to reflect their personalities in the game.

Much of that comes down to the procedural nature of No Man’s Sky, with the game able to generate flora, fauna, wildlife and even entire planets based on a pre-set algorithm. So far, he could only share the fact that the developer will, of course, provide post-release support for the action-adventure survival video game. You can run across a planet or creature that’s been discovered/named by another player, but not directly interact with anybody. Hello Games’ managing director Sean Murray said that galaxies will now be up to 10 times larger.

As we all know the hype surrounding No Man’s Sky launch was massive and gamers expected and altogether never-seen-before experience with the game.

The first No Man’s Sky patch bring a host of changes, and those playing early may want to delete their saves so they don’t miss out.

Sean Murray, head of Hello Games, who developed the space exploration game, says it will not be loved by everyone and a positive response from only a few is “just fine” for him.

“With more powerful hardware, we can have more trees, more leafs on those trees”.

Each solar system has its own economy with an intricate supply and demand system, so you might have to travel around to find just what a planet you visited earlier is willing to pay a big price for.
