No Man’s Sky delayed until August, Hello Games confirms
“I think people really like the concept, but it’s very important for me to deliver on that”, said Murray during a recent trip to Los Angeles to show off No Man’s Sky. He added that No Man’s Sky is shaping up to the point where he “can finally let [himself] get excited”. We’re actually doing this.

“[No Man’s Sky has] some key moments [that] needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards”, Murray points out. He said that they are also prepared to make the tough choices just to get things right.
The original story appears below.
Sean Murray, a member of the developing team, took to the PlayStation blog and explained the reasons behind the delay. After a successful showing at E3 2014, news pertaining to it became few and far between, before it reappeared at E3 2015, with Hello Games confirming its release date in March 2016.
After the rumors swirling around Hello Games delaying No Man’s Sky, the confirmation is here: No Man’s Sky has been officially delayed. Boo. If you haven’t heard about No Man’s Sky, the video game made for the PS4 and PC is a procedural sandbox universe game filled with 18 quintillion planets, each with their own ecosystem. There’s always a chance that the game won’t be delayed again, but retailers covering up the game’s release date on in-store displays doesn’t bode well. There is no new announcement when will be the new space title’s official introduction, but some assume it will be in July or August at least.
Created by little Guildford-based studio Hello Games, No Man’s Sky, allows players to explore a vast simulated universe loaded with procedurally produced planets and lifeforms.

This means that there is a big chance for you to be the first on most planets that you visit. The universe is shared online, although the developer says it is more like a “massively single-player game” in that participants are unlikely to encounter each other. We’re happy with progress, but we need this time to make the game you guys deserve.
