Hello Games’ highly-anticipated title is out today on Sony’s console, but those on PC will have to wait until August 12 to play it. TheSadCactus and Psytokat are the first to have accomplished this rare achievement.

Sean Murray has responded to two players meeting each other, but didn’t give any specifics on why they couldn’t see each other. Apparently, 18 quintillion planets separated by light-years of empty void is comfortably large enough world to consider the game a single-player experience. The two contacted each other and planned a meet up, which they simultaneously streamed. “Best guess right now is 6 PM GMT on Friday, but we’ll keep you up to date as we get closer”, the studio executive said. Also, according to Hello Games, they will be switching to a ticket support system next week so they can handle all the reports regarding No Man’s Sky easily. It does have a final goal for them to accomplish, which is to reach the very center of its universe. You can run across a planet or creature that’s been discovered/named by another player, but not directly interact with anybody.

Does No Man’s Sky have multiplayer? Not only you will need to gather resources, but you will have to use them to craft new items and new technologies as you advance in the game.

It must have been a wild ride for Sean Murray and everyone else at Hello Games these past few years. However, the developer of the games were firm with the feature’s absence.

Atlas Stones are one of the most valuable items in No Man’s Sky and a glitch allows players to double their inventories. “It means we can fundamentally change the experience”, said Murray to Daily Star. Again, it’s extremely unlikely you’d ever stumble across anybody else while playing.

“I know that sounds weird but for some people this is a cool concept that they like the idea of – some people will watch a video and think, “I am in”, others won’t”.
