‘No Man’s Sky’ Limited Edition Boxes Hide ‘Online Play’ Icon With Stickers
Developer Hello Games is reportedly aware of the issue.

Digital Foundry, which tests new games performance by putting them through their paces, found out that when flying rapidly in space using the ship’s boost, “No Man’s Sky” framerate drops down to 14 fps. And because they were printed earlier, the limited edition boxes don’t accurately reflect what No Man’s Sky has become, hence the stickers. Originally I thought that this indicated the game was so big that two players wouldn’t ever really meet, but now I think that it doesn’t require PS Plus simply because the game doesn’t have any sort of multiplayer component at all, and players have been misled. Eurogamer has now brought up exactly when the game will unlock for PC players, and even includes the times at various other locations around the world.
“No Man’s Sky” players are advised not to go too fast when exploring inside the ship as some frame rate drops severely according to Digital Foundry.
No Man’s Sky has been released for the PlayStation 4. Once you die in your ship, the game allows you to collect all previous inventory from your grave marker. Both these paths, if you follow them to their conclusions, turn out to be long-con plots set to trap you, rather than finding the other potential ending hidden in the universe.
Rather than concentrating exclusively on the polygons seen in 99 per cent of games made today, No Man’s Sky’s core utilisation of voxels makes this procedural generation – and also destruction – much easier.
