No Man’s Sky Released: A Success or a Letdown?
“If you play another game and if they do a remaster of that game, what they will do is up-res the textures and things like that”.

Though this could simply be a printing error – something that’s happened before with other games, the conversation around No Man’s Sky’s mysterious online mode took this in a different direction. Apparently, No Man’s Sky is causing this particular game-breaking bug to occur because the game now detects they haven’t done the hyperdrive tutorial.
It seems like No Man’s Sky fails in realizing the multiplayer features of game and we have to explore the infinite universe alone. Since the game had only been out for a day he reasoned that his fellow player might still be close by, and sent a message to arrange to meet. Apparently, 18 quintillion planets separated by light-years of empty void is comfortably large enough world to consider the game a single-player experience. The two players couldn’t even see each other, making the incredibly lonely space trucking journey one that is bound to stay that way forever.
One player happened to notice the planet he was on had already been discovered by someone else, so they messaged the other person and organized a meetup. And because they were printed earlier, the limited edition boxes don’t accurately reflect what No Man’s Sky has become, hence the stickers. It’s just speculation, but there is a chance that those implied server issues are the reason these two players couldn’t see each other.
According to the game’s lead developer Sean Murray, we should not go into No Man’s Sky expecting it to be a multiplayer game at all.

No Man’s Sky has been out for a short while and Hello Gmaes being a small team, these issues were only expected. For instance over night we hit 10 million species discovered in NMS… that’s more than has been discovered on earth. “Everyone is on their own unique planet and from there, they start their own unique journey”.
