No Man’s Sky Servers Being Wiped on August 7th

You know, we’ve been writing about No Man’s Sky in some form or another for nearly three years, all the way back before the Guildford offices of developer Hello Games flooded and on and on as this ambitious indie title started to take shape. He posted a 50 minute long gameplay video from the PlayStation 4 version of No Man’s Sky. Kotaku has also reported that several journalists in the area have evidently picked up copies from local shops. We’re expecting gamers to flock retailers soon, but if you’re one of those still undecided on getting the game, here are a few things to consider when buying the game on launch day.

There’s been a bit of confusion recently about No Man’s Sky’s PC release date. A number of major sites have chosen to break the company’s review embargo, posting first-look impressions or video coverage of the game in action after acquiring early copies.

It holds true that there are fans who are already playing No Man’s Sky.

In the game, players have spaceships and can be explorers, traders or fighters and try to survive on sometimes hostile planets.

“PC No Man’s Sky release will now be global and will be August 12 worldwide”, he said. When Pokémon X and Y hit stores in the United Kingdom early in October 2013, several local chains began selling the 3DS RPG ahead of its Saturday release, prompting the British electronics outfit GAME to follow suit.
