No Suspect in Custody or Victims Found in Crabtree Valley Mall Incident

Police in North Carolina responded to reports of a shooting at a mall in Raleigh, according to CBS affiliate WNCN. Police are investigating whether any shots were fired in the Saturday incident.

Another said “pandemonium broke out” as people ran over table and chairs to get out of the mall.

An employee of the mall’s Abercrombie & Fitch store told Fox News that he and his co-workers were told to lock their doors and stay inside.

As of 4.30pm, Raleigh police have said in a statement that no suspects have been arrested and that arriving officers found no one with any gunshot wounds.

Another person said he saw an argument between two men in the food court that led to at least four shots being fired.

He said that he was standing at the entrance to his store Saturday afternoon when he saw two men who appeared to be in their early 20s arguing in the food court.

Crabtree Valley Mall will be open from noon to 7 p.m., but department store and restaurant hours vary. A witness told CBS North Carolina’s Amy Cutler that she heard gunshots fired.

“They had guns up, kind of covering us as we were running out”.

Riggleman said they were inside the video game store for about 30 minutes. “Until we can render safety for all, no one goes back into the mall”, she said.

Zoe Hanks, 12, was at a hairdresser inside the mall, having the hair around her shoulders lightened, when word of an emergency came.

Witness Mark Rush told WTVD that he was walking out of a cell phone accessory store when he heard “about five or six” shots.
