At about the same time a second flight, Air France 55, took off from Dulles worldwide Airport outside Washington and was diverted to Halifax on Canada’s East Coast, officials said.

Air France Flight 65, headed from Los Angeles to Paris, was forced to land at Salt Lake City because a threat was called in from the ground, a US Federal Aviation Administration spokesman told CNN. Both planes landed safely and no on-board incidents were reported.

Over 400 passengers were evacuated from the plane in Salt Lake City and transported to customs, according to KSL.com. He said a flight attendant said after the plane landed that it was a security issue. Police are now searching the aircraft. No further details on that threat were released.

Airport officials confirmed that a bomb threat had been made concerning flight AF65, stating that they received a warning after the plane had departed from Los Angeles, KSL.com reported.

The threats came after last week’s attacks in Paris that killed 129 people and heightened security concerns around the world.
