Bettis lost for the first time in five starts on Saturday night, and the Colorado Rockies lost 6-1 to the Los Angeles Dodgers. “I just went out there and tried to put up as many zeros as I could”, said Norris, who arrived at Dodger Stadium four hours before the game. “We just haven’t gotten it done the last couple of nights”. The Los Angeles Dodgers offense has heated up in this series, and they’ve won five straight games when scoring more than three runs. Seager went 2-for-4 and scored a run in the Dodgers’ 5-0 win over the Rockies. Kazmir pitched six scoreless innings, allowed only three hits and struck out 10.

Kershaw met with Dr. Robert Watkins at game time Saturday to map out a rehabilitation program, but when asked whether doctors have given him a general idea of how long he will be out, Kershaw said, “Not that I’m willing to discuss at this time”.

The Colorado Rockies hope to have two key players back in the lineup as they attempt to halt their three-game slide when they visit the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game series.

Bettis was charged with four runs on six hits over six innings. Oh and there’s also the fact that he had only walked nine batters (one intentional) and was on pace to shatter the record for best strikeout: walk ratio with a 16.11 K: BB.

Colorado manager Walt Weiss said before Friday night’s game that LeMahieu could have played after performing some pregame drills, but he opted to give his All-Star second baseman an extra day of rest.

Two more runs were plated in the seventh, thanks to a double by Howie Kendrick, a walk by Seager and Turner’s third hit of the night. “In second half of the outing, the curveball and changeup showed up more”.

He said he did not have to change his approach on days he did pitch when his back was less than flawless.

But the veteran right-hander did his best imitation of the Dodgers’ absent three-time Cy Young victor Friday, expertly handling one of the league’s hottest offenses in a 5-0 series-opening victory over the Colorado Rockies at Dodger Stadium. Offensively, Carlos Gonzalez leads Colorado with 98 hits, Nolan Arenado has 66 RBI and Charlie Blackmon has 12 home runs.
