Non-Bailable Warrant Against MS Dhoni Over Lord Vishnu Photo
An Indian court on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for veteran cricketer MS Dhoni for “hurting religious sentiments of Hindus”.

The warrant is vis-a-vis a case in which a social activist has accused Dhoni of hurting Hindu sentiments. “Neither have I posed for the picture which was published in the magazine on April 14, 2013”, Dhoni had stated in his defence earlier.
Dhoni is now visiting Australia and will return home on January 31.
The magazine cover, for a story titled “God of Big Deals”, had an image of Dhoni morphed as the Hindu deity Vishnu, displaying various commercial brands, like “Lays chips”, and also holding a shoe in his hands.
However, this case has been postponed to 25th by the court and many people are waiting for the result to know what will happen next with very excitement. “I haven’t received any remuneration/goodwill or money for the news article or for usage of my picture on the cover page or anywhere else”. He should have known the consequences of doing such ads.
“Even as such, proceedings in a similar matter pending before the Hon’ble District Court of Bengaluru, Kartanaka has already been stayed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India”.

The Karnataka High Court, however, refused to quash the case, prompting Dhoni to file an appeal in the apex court.
