‘None of us voted for Philippines’, Miss Universe contestant claims
Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez is mistakenly crowned Miss Universe 2015 during the 2015 MISS UNIVERSE show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, California, on December 20, 2015.

“To me, as a Colombian, she is still Miss Universe”, President Juan Manuel Santos said.
There was a surprising finish to this year’s Miss Universe pageant.
“I can’t help but think of Ariadna”, Wurtzbach told ET’s Nischelle Turner, who asked if she’d spoken to Gutierrez after the chaos.
Miss Colombia, left, has been gracious in defeat.
Only problem was that she didn’t win – Miss Philippines was the actual victor, and Gutierrez was the first runner-up.
While another added: “YOU are such a LOSER!!!congratulations for being in top 80.Miss Philippines is the victor so MoveOn”. “I’m so happy, thank you for voting for me!” Harvey walked back on stage as Gutierrez waved to the crowd with the crown on her head and the sash draped across her body. The host is embarrassed about the mistake, which was “completely accidental”.
“Secondly, I’d like to apologize to the viewers at that I disappointed as well”.
Did you see the Miss Universe pageant and the mix-up?
The new Miss Universe admitted she’s “still in awe of everything”, and that she half expects the tiara to be taken away from her, too. For a few awkward moments the two women stood side by side, in front of a TV audience of millions from around the world, before Harvey explained that he read the card naming the victor and runner-up in the wrong order.
But that was only after he deleted an original message that had spelled both countries’ names incorrectly.
Harveytook to Twitter to say: “I’d like to apologise wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake”.

The Miss Universe organization issued a statement on Sunday night for the mix-up without placing blame on any particular individual. The caption references the fact that Miss Colombia, Paulina Vega, won the 2014 Miss Universe title.
