According to the North American Defense Command, Santa and his reindeer took off from the North Pole around 4 a.m. Described as an “annual Christmas-themed entertainment program”, NORAD Tracks Santa provides up-to-the-minute notices and “video” of Santa and his reindeer.
You can once again track Santa’s journey this Christmas with help from Google, NORAD and Microsoft.
With the advent of the Internet, the tracking went online, although a phone number is still provided for those who prefer to call (1-877-HI-NORAD). Instead of Santa, children reached the commander-in-chief’s hotline at CONAD, the U.S. Continental Air Defense Command.
Get out the milk and cookies, because Santa Claus is coming to town!
Google has been tracking Santa for 11 years and its site is full of games to keep the little ones busy before Santa arrives.
That sparked the tradition that is heading into its 60th year.
Hundreds of volunteers are manning the phones inside NORAD ” s Track Santa Headquarters this Christmas Eve.
With Windows, Apple and Google Play store apps, and Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+ accounts, Santa followers have limitless options to find the jolly old elf in flight.

The operation does not just stop at providing updates in English, and bilingual volunteers are also on call to receive calls from kids in foreign languages. In addition to sleigh trackers, you might be able to get St. Nick to place a call to any unruly children who try to stay awake at your house tonight.
