Public health officials also said norovirus was found at the restaurant, and that “the clear expectation is that the illness on campus is limited to the norovirus”.
A report with Daily News reported that Chipotle shares have continued declining since Monday as the fast-food company faces its first drop in a key sales figure after reports of an outbreak of E. coli was linked to its restaurants.
City officials say a restaurant employee was sick during a shift last week and may have caused the outbreak of the gastrointestinal illness that causes vomiting and diarrhea.
The restaurant chain has been struggling with a different E. coli epidemic in 9 states that is not related with the recent cases in Boston, according to the (BPHC).
More than 120 Boston College students have taken ill after eating at the same Chipotle at 1924 Beacon Street in Brighton.

Michael Sullivan, sports editor for Boston College’s student newspaper The Heights, reported eight of the members of Boston College’s men’s basketball team were among those infected.
He said test results from specimens sent to labs were expected back later Tuesday or Wednesday.
This appears to be the peak of the outbreak, but Ells cautioned that the contagious nature of norovirus could mean there will be more cases reported.
“The Health Services staff remains hopeful that the norovirus will be contained in light of their efforts to inform students of guidelines to avoid spreading the illness”, Dunn said in a statement. Previously, Ells had said that Chipotle would try to work with at least some of its small suppliers to institute better safety measures, but that not all would be on board.
“With the norovirus, we have heard that this is the extent of it, but it’s a disease that is very easily passed and so it spreads very, very quickly from person to person, ” he said. The common factor among the students is that they had all eaten at the Chipotle restaurant in Cleveland Circle.

Bernstein said Chipotle should keep safety brochures on hand that workers can give to customers anxious they’ll get sick.
