North Korea Calls BS on US Bomber Threats

USA troops have been present in South Korea since the Korean War (1950-1953), which ended in an armistice rather than a peace treaty – meaning the two neighbors technically remain at war.

Beijing’s official People’s Daily newspaper on Wednesday called United States a troublemaker and said it has no right to lecture China about taking responsibility for reining in North Korea as tensions on the peninsula are a direct result of U.S. actions.

China is isolated North Korea’s most important diplomatic backer and biggest trading partner, but frustrated with repeated nuclear and missile tests it has signed on to increasingly tough United Nations sanctions and insisted it is complying with them.

Also of interest is the fact that as far as the development of these missile and nuclear-deterrence capabilities are concerned, North Korea is virtually fully self-sufficient.
