North Korea denounces UN condemnation, warns US of action
The South Korean analyst added North Korea may use the mid-range Musudan or Rodong missile for its next test.

South Korean officials said the submarine-launched missile flew about 310 miles, the longest distance achieved by the North for such a weapon.
Park’s warning has come amid instability in the Korean peninsula, which has been witnessing a series of aggressive acts in recent months.
On the same day, the Defense Ministry said that it has selected three candidate sites within Seongju, North Gyeongsang Province, for the THAAD deployment, taking a step forward in the feud-ridden agenda.
It accused the Security Council of deliberately disregarding a complaint sent by the North Korean government about U.S.
President Park Geun-hye on Monday called on the military to prepare practical measures against North Korea’s nuclear and missile capabilities, and to maintain readiness so that any attempt or provocation can lead to the collapse of the communist regime. North Korea has threatened retaliation for these exercises, which it views as a rehearsal for invasion by the US and other adversaries.
North Korea is barred under United Nations resolutions from any use of ballistic missile technology, but has carried out several launches following its fourth nuclear test in January.
In August 2015, land-mine blasts that Seoul blamed on Pyongyang maimed two South Korean soldiers and caused tensions between the two Koreas to flare.
“Now that the US posed threats to the dignity and the right to existence of the DPRK defying its serious warning, it will continue to take a series of eventful action steps as a full-fledged military power”, the statement said.
Chung said the military had pushed to build a 4,000-tonne nuclear-powered submarine in 2003 under late President Roh Moo-hyun’s government, asking the military to actively review the nuclear-powered submarine deployment along with the installation of a U.S. missile shield in South Korea.
Pyongyang’s latest provocation was its test-firing of a submarine-launched ballistic missile last Wednesday, which Park described as a “tangible threat to national security” that has now gone beyond simply being a source of concern.

North Korea’s missile and nuclear weapons development programs have brought heavy worldwide sanctions down on its head, but Pyongyang says they are justified because of the threat posed by the USA and South Korea.
