North Korea Just Accidentally Opened Up Its Internet

At around 10 p.m. pacific time on Monday, North Korea accidentally opened access to its nameserver long enough for an American security engineer to take a look at all of the websites registered to the secretive government.

The annihilation project is going to be initiated if North Korea shows any slight sign of a nuclear attack.

The misconfiguration of one of the North Korea’s nameservers allowed information about the country’s worldwide web presence to leak.

As it turns out, there are only 28 registered domains in North Korea.

The sites were quickly listed on Reddit and include the Korean Central News Agency, Korean Education Funds, an insurance company, a site containing recipes and a site where people can purchase airline tickets. “This data gives us a better picture of North Korea’s domains and top level DNS”.
