North Korea launches two ballistic missiles

The ministry spokesman said that under that trilateral information-sharing agreement, information sharing with Japan would be possible.

Last time North Korea launched two medium-range missiles Nodon and one short-range missile Scud on July 19.

The launches have already drawn a strong rebuke from Japan.

The report cited Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe as describing North Korea’s move a “grave threat” to Japan and stating that Tokyo is “strongly protesting” it.

It is probably a Rodong middle-range missile.

North Korea has fired a ballistic missile into Japanese waters.

Experts differ over whether North Korea has developed a “miniaturised” nuclear warhead capable of being loaded on a missile.

It’s a clear evidence to support a claim that THAAD in South Korea is not aimed at intercepting DPRK missiles, but supervising and pressuring China and Russian Federation as part of US efforts at its Pivot-to-Asia strategy.

Now to a troubling development out of North Korea.

“We reiterate the call on the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] to heed the united call of the global community to reverse its course and return to the process of honest dialogue”, said UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric.

The sanctions committee is asked to “take appropriate action” in response to Pyongyang’s launch of the missiles which are in violation of Security Council resolutions.

North Korea says the annual drills are a provocative rehearsal for invasion, while Washington and Seoul insist they are purely defensive in nature.

South Korea, Japan and the United States are members of the long-halted six-party talks.

The Japanese defence ministry said one missile landed inside its exclusive economic zone (EEZ), the 200-nautical mile of ocean around a country. According to The New York Times, this was the closest a North Korean missile had come to Japan since 1998, when Pyongyang fired one over it.

The ballistic missile launch drew immediate condemnation from the governments of China, Japan, South Korea and the United States.

As the three sought to circulate a draft council statement condemning the launch, Chinese Ambassador Liu Jieyi posed a stumbling block, saying “nothing should be done to exacerbate tension” on the peninsula, though he acknowledged the North Korean risks.

North Korea successfully test-fired a mid-range ballistic missile into open water Wednesday, according to South Korea’s military – and it appears that a second projectile exploded upon being launched.

It then flew about 621 miles (1,000 kilometers) across the peninsula into the sea in the east.
