Friends said Mutschlechner was acting as their designated driver for New Year’s Eve.
The shooters are still on the loose but witnesses say that the black SUV was carrying “five or six African American males” and that two of the men were allegedly at the house party that Sara and her friends left just before the shooting.
The junior was studying Radio, TV & Film and was also a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. At the hospital, Mutschlechner needed to be placed on life support, but Kizer said she died Friday evening after being taken off life support. She was struck in the head and lost control of the auto, which hit another vehicle and then crashed into an electrical pole, finally coming to a stop. “She is by far one of the most spirited, honest and fun-loving people I ever had the privilege to know”. They remembered a young life cut short in an apparent case of road rage that has police working to find her killer. “She will truly be missed”.
Police tell WFAA-TV (http://bit.ly/1JjAwaB ) the victim and three adults were in a vehicle in Denton when an SUV approached them.
Investigators say the party was advertised via flyer on Facebook and they want anyone with photos or video to send contact Denton Police detective Eric Beckwith at 940-349-7974.
