Northeast Cities Makes History with Warmest Christmas Eve on Record
Although this winter has been unseasonably warm, it hasn’t reached record highs so far.

After a record-setting Christmas Eve, the warm weather is expected to continue with temperatures well above the seasonal average for Christmas Day.
High temperatures above 70 degrees will stretch along the East Coast from Florida to New England on Thursday and Friday, The Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang predicted, with some highs going 30 to 40 degrees above normal on Christmas Eve.
Rain predictions show Bartlesville is in the area that will receive the least amount of rain, but the Saturday through Monday forecast calls for 3.5 inches of rain to fall here.

Baltimore is in for a warm, rainy holiday weekend, thanks to weather patterns that are bringing warm air and tropical moisture to the region. From 82 degrees in Savannah, Georgia, to 79 in Norfolk, Virginia, to 68 in Philadelphia, to 62 in Portland, Maine, cities up and down the East Coast tied or smashed record high temperatures for Christmas Day.
“Once I looked at the forecast, I packed my clubs”, said Malloney, who was in town from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, visiting family.
It seems possible that when the final numbers are in, highs in parts of the state could tie temperatures recorded on this past 4th of July.
The mercury is expected to hit the mid-60s in New York City on Christmas Day.

In an online report, meteorologist William Deedler said the outlooks for snow on Friday “is lower than average, given the sustained warm temperatures”.
