Norwich City v Liverpool Preview: Klopp unlikely to experiment with youth

Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City would have little to smile about losing 2-0 at the King Power Stadium to Tottenham who had a point to prove after their last three encounters with the Foxes, well executed goals from Heung-Min Son and Nacer Chadli settled the contest.

“It is not allowed to be three or four years as a substitute at this age, you have to play, and I would like to work longer with him”.

Here are all the stats you need to know ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Norwich!

“If you take a new player now we have two days to the next game, four days to the next, so it is not a ideal moment”.

“When you don’t score a lot of goals you have to defend very disciplined”.

Klopp says he wanted to bring the youngsters back to Anfield in order to work alongside them and improve their overall quality. “They are creative and quick, but they conceded easy goals”. I can’t rush the situation. Clubs prefer to send their youth academy players to gain experience in a more competitive environment before they return to the parent club to fight for a place in the first-team. Know when my team mate does this, I have to do this.

“Steven Naismith is a really good player”.

Klopp’s injury list remains lengthy, with attacking options Philippe Coutinho (hamstring), Daniel Sturridge (hamstring), Divock Origi (knee) and Danny Ings (knee) sidelined.

Tough game here but with Norwich at home at 10/3 I think the Canaries represnt plenty of value here and I’m going to take Norwich the home underdogs to pull off an upset here and pile more pressure on an underperforming Liverpool.

“We need to keep them here and work with them because football is not individual – you have to develop individually but also as a team and it is not always important to impress in a one-on-one”, said Klopp.

“Adam Lallana is a doubt”.

“So we’re thrilled because it is about the development of those players that will make it so much better for this football club in the future and that’s why we were delighted that we’ve been able to convince Ben Godfrey to come here (from York City) as opposed to one of the other 10 clubs he could have gone to”.

A lovely goal
