Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, has finally commented on the already legendary Miss Universe 2015 mix-up that momentarily awarded her the honour of the title, thanking supporters and accepting her fate, reports Us Weekly.
Heavy is the heart of the girl who wears the crown for, like, 60 seconds! “But, on Tuesday, she penned a heartfelt letter to fans, thanking them for their support through all the craziness she dealt with during the competition”.
Displaying no hard feelings towards Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (Miss Philippines), Ms Gutierrez also used the post to congratulate her.
After the storm comes the calm. ‘I want to thank each and everyone of you who have sent messages of support and strength.
Gutierrez had previously shared several photos of herself wearing the Miss Universe crown, with the caption, “This moment will always be with me #missuniverse #misscolombia #backtoback Lo logramos COLOMBIA!”
Miss Columbia Ariadna Gutierrez Arévalo has said she is thankful for all the support she has received from people after she was mistakenly crowned as Miss Universe 2015 for a couple of minutes on Sunday. According to Miss Universe producer Mark Shapiro, all is forgiven, and he even wants Harvey to reprise his hosting duties again in the future.
Was Steve Harvey’s Miss Universe mix-up a publicity stunt? “Our queen was marvelous”. “The crown is an acquired right that can not be taken away from us”, said lawyers from the De la Espriella firm.
Following the mix-up, Miss Columbia has remained relatively quiet – that is until now. “She deserves it”, he said before comparing the first runner-up to the Colombian star of Modern Family.
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton, via his podcast, has slammed Miss Colombia’s “diva” antics during filming.
Unsurprisingly, Twitter exploded nearly immediately with viewers taking jabs at Harvey’s expense.

“OK folks … I have to apologize”, Harvey told the confused crowd in Las Vegas. It didn’t deserve to happen that way, but it happened from an honest mistake.
