Ninety percent of the 810 owners surveyed said their costs are up in 2015 over previous year, and 84 percent expect to pay more in 2016.

Locally owned businesses in Hickory are gearing up for Small Business Saturday, which is a day dedicated to celebrating and patronizing small businesses.
When asked about their top concerns, metro NY small business owners said they worry about economic factors impacting their businesses but are less concerned than they were a year ago.
With just a little over six weeks left in 2015, tax professionals advise small business owners to look over their companies’ finances and see if there are any last-minute things they can do to lower their tax bills.

The ADP and Intuit, for example, rely on information supplied their small business customers.
American Express publicized the initiative using social media, advertising, and public relations. A few of the medium and large-sized companies that will be participating include FedEx, Sam’s Club, AT&T, Hertz, Eventbrite and Etsy.
The Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey was conducted among a nationally representative sample of 1,847 males and females 18 years of age or older. The study was conducted anonymously by independent marketing performance specialist Ebiquity on October 19-27, 2015.
