“This bowl game provides the people of Tucson two key deliverables that are desperately needed; charitable donations and economic opportunities”, NOVA Financial & Investment Corporation CEO Jon Volpe said in a release.
The game will feature teams from the Mountain West, Conference US and Sun Belt Conference.
The game will be Mountain West versus Conference U.S. with the Sun Belt filling in if one of the two conferences doesn’t have enough bowl-eligible members. Austin bowl officials decided not to start their bowl this season.
Tucson’s bowl game appears to be back on.
The Arizona Bowl is the second new bowl of 2015 along with the Cure Bowl in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
