November Issue of Ebony Magazine Shows Shattered Image of ‘Cosby Show’ Family

They’re angry that the legacy of one of America’s most successful shows and the uplifting images of a successful Black family resulting from it is getting lost in Cosby’s scandal.

When asked about her thoughts on the cover, Symone, 29, said, “Let’s not forget that the Cosby Show was a sitcom, and not a reality show”.

The magazine’s November edition, dubbed “The Family Issue”, features a still from the Cosby Show – overlaid with a broken glass effect that’s centered on the Cliff Huxtable’s face.

“Taylor shared with followers on Twitter, “It was both an honor and a challenge to write this month’s @EbonyMag cover story…” News, Ebony said,”This is our annual Family Issue, and we decided, after much deliberation, to go with a focus on what we felt was an urgent and provocative conversation happening within the Black community”, “It wasn’t just about making a statement; the cover is also asking questions”. That’s a show that we’re all very proud to have been on.

The sight of the shattered photo obviously brings Cosby to mind as it divides those who have seen it. a few praise the picture as negative attention the embattled comedian and “The Cosby Show” deserve in light of the sexual assault and drugging allegations Cosby is facing amid him feeling entitled to allegedly have sex with women without their consent.
