Launching the application, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said social media had emerged as a very effective way to reach out to the people and it plays an important role in modern day world.

Tourism industry sources in Agra said the Twitter handle will help have a better interaction with tourists and the feedback would help address grievances. “The government is taking action on the unfortunate incident”, Yadav said in New Delhi, after releasing on UP’s Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, published by the Havard University South Asia Institute.

Taj Mahal is one among the Seven Wonders of the World and is recognized as a symbol of love. A lovelorn emperor’s monument in tribute to one of his three wives, Mumtaz Mahal, was built from 1643 and was possibly complete only by 1653, when the emperor’s reign was about to end abruptly.

The Twitter handle was reportedly to be launched on the eve of Independence Day, but the Archaeological Survey of India of Agra Circle had delayed the proposal by the Uttar Pradesh government citing security issues.
