According to CricInfo.com, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to convince India to play scheduled bilateral series in December.

Even though the PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan said at a press conference in Lahore last week that he had little hopes of the series with India being held in December due to the existing relations between the two countries but well-informed sources have not ruled out a few sort of compromise.

The PCB chairman is also scheduled to meet officials of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) to discuss Pak-India series.

“I think Pakistan would be within its right to refuse to be in the same group as India in any ICC event”.

Sethi’s plans to invite Indians in the PSL is also aimed at enabling Pakistani play in IPL once again. On the other hand BCCI does not allow their players to play T20 leagues apart from the IPL.

Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir and Younis Khan were part of Shane Warne’s IPL-winning Rajasthan Royals squad. If you don’t want our players to play in your league, okay, but at least let your players play in ours. There will be pressure from the players.

Six West Indies players have nominated for the tournament – Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Darren Sammy Dwayne Bravo Dwayne Smith and Sunil Narine – with another four from Sri Lanka in Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Thisara Perera.

The league, comprising five franchises, will be played from February 4-24 next year in Dubai and Sharjah. Melbourne Stars coach Stephen Fleming is another to nominate, as is Chaminda Vaas, Gordon Greenidge and Robin Singh.
