The early 2000 faded black pickup truck was going eastbound on Del Obispo Street when he struck Medina at the intersection, Hallock said. Witnesses also said Cesar Andres Medina had the right of way while crossing on a green light.

On Saturday evening, sheriff’s traffic investigators received information that led them to Michaels’ home, where they found a Dodge Ram truck parked in the driveway, according to a sheriff’s news release. The truck was confiscated by authorities and was expected to be processed for additional evidence. A short time later, Michaels contacted deputies at the station and following an interview with investigators, Michaels was arrested and booked into Orange County Jail. She posted a picture on Facebook of him holding her baby niece writing, “never in a million years would I think I would be saying goodbye to you at the same place”. There, Ms Medina wrote of her shock at what she’d found.
